Conquest have withdrawn from the upcoming RGN Pro Series Championship, team member Shahzeb "ShahZam" Khan has revealed. The announcement was made by Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan via Twitter, where he explained that the team were forced to pull out of the tournament in order to be able to play their ESL ESEA Pro League matches that are scheduled for next week. Conquest will still attend the iBUYPOWER CS:GO Invitational, which concludes on Sunday, one day before the RGN Pro Series Championship kicks off, with both events taking place at the exact same venue, the eSports Arena in Santa Ana, California.
The move leaves the RGN Pro Series event without one of its strongest teams, with Conquest having been the only North American side to reach the playoffs at last weekend's CEVO Season 8 finals, where they beat Team Liquid and dignitas before losing to mousesports in the semi-finals. Contacted by HLTV.org, RGN stated that it is currently working on finding a last-minute replacement for Conquest, who had been drawn in Group D, alongside Luminosity, Winterfox and CLG Red. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
